Maui Fire Relief: Back to School Bash at Kahului SDA Church

On August 6, 2024, the Hawaii Conference, in partnership with World Vision, hosted a meaningful "Back to School Bash" at the Kahului Seventh-day Adventist Church, commemorating the one-year anniversary of the devastating wildfires. This community-focused event, aimed primarily at families affected by the fires, provided much-needed support and resources.

Over 700 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed, along with 400 pairs of shoes to help students prepare for the upcoming school year. Attendees also enjoyed the excitement of a bike raffle, with 25 bikes awarded to lucky winners. In addition, personal hygiene products, bedding, household items like lamps, and more were provided to ensure families have the resources they need to rebuild. Thank you to everyone who joined us in this important remembrance and contributed to making the day a success!
